# Alors on Danse Meme > One makes the song, one takes the credit. Now everyone wants to be in that white studio. Updated Oct 15, 2026 · first seen Sep 2026 · on TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube. Where it is in its life: For You (rising). Rising: the best time to post it. Also called: alors on danse ai, alors on danse ai video, alors on danse trend, alors on danse making of, Stromae Jamel Debbouze studio clip, alors on dance meme. Page: https://viralmeme.ai/meme/alors-on-danse-meme ## TL;DR The Alors on Danse meme is a white-studio clip in which comedian Jamel Debbouze plays an over-confident music coach "helping" Stromae make "Alors on danse" at a laptop and mini keyboard, then acts as if the hit was his idea. The scene is a scripted sketch from Jamel's 2010 comedy DVD Made in Jamel, not a real recording session. Since late September 2026 people have been recasting it with AI, putting two photos of themselves, friends or pets into the two roles. It is the song's second meme wave on TikTok, after a 2021 dance trend. ## What does Alors on Danse Meme mean? "Alors on danse" is French for "so we dance." In Stromae's song the line is a shrug at a hard life: work, money, love and worries pile up, so we dance. The Alors on Danse meme leans on the scene, not the lyrics. Both stand at a small table in an all-white studio. One leans over the mini keyboard and plays the riff; the other stands behind the laptop, raises an arm on the beat, points at the keys and behaves as if he wrote it. It's the dynamic every group project has: the one who does the work and the one who takes the credit. That makes the clip easy to recast. In the AI version of the Alors on Danse meme, the two roles stay the same and the faces change: two friends, a couple, a parent and child, a person and their dog, or two fictional characters. The audio stays "Alors on danse," so the joke lands in the first second. ## Why did Alors on Danse Meme take off? The Alors on Danse meme spread because its setup is simple and its roles are universal. A blank white studio, a laptop, a mini keyboard and two people means nothing distracts from the casting, and the casting is the punchline. The riff is instantly recognised: "Alors on danse" topped the charts across much of Europe in 2010, and Summrs reports that it passed one billion Spotify streams in August 2026. AI video tools made the recast cheap. Several apps now offer an Alors on Danse template where you upload two photos, one for each role, and get back the clip with the original's moves and timing. Search interest followed. In Google Trends for the United States, daily searches for "alors on danse" were mostly too few to register through the summer, and from the last days of September 2026 they have registered every day through mid-October. ## Where did Alors on Danse Meme come from? "Alors on danse" is a song by the Belgian artist Stromae. According to Wikipedia, it was released in Belgium in September 2009 and in the rest of Europe in February 2010, appeared on his album Cheese (2010), and reached number one in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and many other countries. The studio clip behind the 2026 Alors on Danse meme comes from Made in Jamel, a 2010 comedy DVD by the French comedian Jamel Debbouze. In the sketch, Stromae stands at a mini keyboard while Jamel, behind a laptop, plays an inspired music coach who hands him "advice" and jokes that he is the one behind the hit. Online it is often called the "Alors on Danse making-of," but Summrs and Alors On Danse AI describe it as a staged comedy sketch rather than footage of the song being made. The song had already been a TikTok meme once. Know Your Meme traces the 2021 trend to a June 16, 2021 clip by @usimmango of a group dancing in unison to a slowed-down version, which passed 1.8 million likes, followed by parodies including one by Bella Poarch with over 4.5 million likes.
