Page: https://viralmeme.ai/meme/female-draco-malfoy ## TL;DR Malfoid is the internet's nickname for female Draco Malfoy, a gender-swapped, mostly anime-style version of Harry Potter's Slytherin rival drawn by fan artists. A piece posted on X by @redteneri on September 22, 2026, drew more than 89,000 likes in a week, and other artists followed with their own female Draco Malfoy art. The name drew criticism because "foid" is a derogatory incel slang word for women. ## What does Malfoid (Female Draco Malfoy) mean? Posting female Draco Malfoy art is a "what if" joke from the fandom: what if Harry Potter's sneering school rival had been a girl all along? Know Your Meme describes Malfoid as a nickname for a gender-swapped Draco Malfoy, usually drawn as a woman or a teenage girl. Wisevoter describes her look: anime style, platinum-blonde hair and exaggerated expressions, from smug to pouting. The joke mostly lives in the rivalry. Female Draco Malfoy is still the proud Slytherin who looks down on Harry, but fans picture a girl who starts as his rival and slowly falls for him. KbizoOm reports fans on X saying Malfoy "should have been a girl from the very beginning," and some would rather see Harry with a female Draco Malfoy than with Ginny or Hermione. Malfoid joins "Malfoy" with "foid," which Know Your Meme defines as a derogatory incel term for women, short for "femoid" and meant to call women unintelligent. That is why this page calls her female Draco Malfoy. ## Why did Malfoid (Female Draco Malfoy) take off? Female Draco Malfoy took off because the idea was already old and the new art was good. Fans had drawn Draco as a girl for more than a decade; in September 2026 one striking anime-style design on X gave everyone the same character to redraw, and artists answered each other within days. The format is also easy to join: a female Draco Malfoy drawing only needs the platinum hair, the Slytherin uniform and an attitude. Coverage of female Draco Malfoy on KbizoOm and Wisevoter in early October, and the debate over "foid," then brought it to readers outside the fandom. ## Where did Malfoid (Female Draco Malfoy) come from? A gender-swapped Draco is not new. Know Your Meme traces female Draco Malfoy art back to at least 2011, when Tumblr user maariaaargh posted a Rule 63 drawing of Draco as a girl on November 9. Rule 63 is the old internet saying that every character has a gender-swapped version somewhere. On March 10, 2024, X user @grizz056 posted "If Malfoy was a girl," which drew more than 60,000 likes, and KbizoOm notes a 110-chapter Korean fanfiction that imagined Draco as a girl. The earliest known use of "Malfoid" for Draco is a text-only post by @swag_chaser on X on January 10, 2026, according to Know Your Meme.
