Page: https://viralmeme.ai/meme/gas-station-ai-trend ## TL;DR The gas station trend is an AI remake of a 2024 road-trip clip in which three friends at a gas station dance by the pumps, film a selfie and step out of a car to Akcent's "On And On". AI remakes that swap in friends, family, pets or famous faces boomed in September 2026, strongest on the Russian-speaking internet, and on October 8 one tracker still counted 40 new posts in 72 hours. ## What does Gas Station Trend mean? The gas station trend is a road-trip vibe post: the most ordinary stop on a long drive, shot like a music video. People drop their friend group, partner, parents or pets into it, or recast it with politicians and TV characters for laughs, often under the original caption, "road trip vibe." The joke is in the casting. Halva Media says the funniest gas station trend versions star the least likely people, such as a sultan from a Turkish period drama dancing by the pumps. With your own friends it works as a group portrait; with a cat, it's absurd. The three beats stay the same: the dance, the selfie, the step out of the car. ## Why did Gas Station Trend take off? The gas station trend is three easy beats anyone recognizes, set in a place everyone has stood. Templates that take one to three photos turned a remake into a 5 to 15 minute job, per Halva Media, and vc.ru notes the simple choreography and plain set make it easy to recreate. The sound keeps the gas station trend linked together: remakes keep the original audio or credit Akcent's "On And On", so each new version leads back to the same song. Unexpected casts gave people a reason to make one more. ## Where did Gas Station Trend come from? The gas station trend starts with a roughly 20-second clip filmed in summer 2024. Russian coverage says it shows video blogger Mikhail Litvin and two friends at a roadside gas station: one dances by the cars, one takes a selfie and one steps out of a car and joins in, to Akcent's "On And On". vc.ru dates the post to July 1, 2024, with the caption "road trip vibe." A friend shouts "Delai!", Russian for "Do it!", which gave the gas station trend its Russian nickname. For two years the clip circulated without parodies, Halva Media says. Then in September 2026 AI video templates, mostly built on the Seedance video model, let people upload three photos and replace the dancers. vc.ru published a gas station trend guide on September 26, and by October 2 Halva Media was calling it the main AI trend of the autumn. English-language guides followed, and Kavel's tracker counted 88 creators posting the gas station trend and 40 new posts in the 72 hours to October 8. - **Jul 1, 2024:** Three friends post a road-trip clip of themselves dancing at a gas station, captioned "road trip vibe". - **Sep 2026:** The AI gas station trend goes viral, strongest on the Russian-speaking internet. - **Sep 26, 2026:** vc.ru publishes a guide to recreating it with a Seedance template or motion-control models. - **Oct 2, 2026:** Halva Media calls the gas station trend the main AI trend of the autumn, with remakes starring TV characters, politicians and cats. - **Oct 8, 2026:** Kavel's tracker counts 88 creators posting the gas station trend and 40 new posts in 72 hours. ## Popular versions of Gas Station Trend ### Friends and family The basic remake puts your own group in the three roles: friends, relatives or coworkers, one per shot. Kavel says a single photo can also cover all three shots, and vc.ru suggests full-body photos with faces and feet visible. ### TV and film characters Series fans recast the gas station trend with their favorites. Halva Media lists Sultan Suleiman, Hurrem and Mahidevran from the Turkish drama Magnificent Century, plus characters from The Vampire Diaries and Twilight. ### Politicians and public figures In Kavel's screen of 47 high-resolution posts, 38% used celebrity, politician or character casts. Kavel also found a copyright filter on one video model blocked 23 of 163 runs, so these versions often fail. ### Cats, pets and mascots Halva Media counts cats among the gas station trend's stars, and Kavel says pets and even toys work in the three roles. vc.ru adds brand mascots, new settings such as an office parking lot, and a twist ending where someone unexpected steps out of the car. ## How do I make Gas Station Trend? - Photos: 1 photo for just you; 2 with someone else, or 1 photo of you both. - Output: image, vertical 9:16, about a minute, 5 credits; video, 12 seconds, vertical 9:16, 720p, a few minutes, 10 credits. - You choose: who's in it (just you, you and a friend, you and your partner); image or video. - Fixed: The station, the three shots and the music. ### You get - You, or you and one other person, at a golden-hour gas station: a dance by the pumps, a selfie close-up and a step out of a car - The image is one posed shot next to the car - An original hip-hop dance beat in the video ### Not included - Akcent's "On And On" or the original 2024 clip - A real gas station brand or car make - Three people: it makes one or two ## How to post Gas Station Trend on TikTok 1.
